Of Lego And Star Wars

I've always been a huge fan of lego n star wars - especially the lego star wars series.
most notably the original trilogy series released by lego.

was at toy station at serene centre couple of fridays ago to help tweebo buy monopoly.
and i saw a bunch of lego star wars character keychains.
i din want the usual luke skywalker, chewie, vadar, yoda ones... so i was juz looking thru everything that was hanging there.
den i saw this.



when i saw it, i knew i had to get it, even tho i know i din need it.
so i paid $7 for it. hahaha...
now he hangs w my van keys.

Weekend of Events

Before i start my entry, i now wish everyone a slightly belated happy national day!
this weekend has really been a rather eventful one. full of good n bad stuff.
let's start w fri.

fri:
last day of reservist - bad,
coz no more holiday liao.
got letter from mindef - bad,
coz they say my ot allowance were not paid on consecutive months so they will not be paying me my ot make up pay.
played football w mark's frens at fico - good,
coz it was a good workout and i scored a couple of goals.
knee is badly scratched - bad,
coz i cant walk quite properly now and hoping it will heal soon.
dinner at soup kitchen - good,
coz food is good.
went to carrefour to look for a clothes stand - bad,
coz they dun have wad i want.
went to bala n listened to the unexpected play - good,
coz they always play damn good music.
went to bala w 3 beautiful ladies - good,
need to explain still meh?
met a fren at bala - good,
coz i seldom meet frens whenever i go out.
met more frens at mr bean after bala - good,
same reason as above.

sat:
woke up at 12ish - good/bad,
good coz means sleep until fairly shiok, bad coz half the day gone liao.
went to ikea to buy the clothes stand i couldn't find on fri nite - good/bad
good coz i found one dat isn't too bad n bought it, bad coz had to park at anchorpoint and half limp across the bridge both ways.
ndp parade - good,
coz i always enjoy the marching parade bit of the ndp. not to mention watching the flypast n all.
went to john's house after parade - good,
coz got cheng tng from commonwealth n juz chill w the churchies.
typed a sms - bad,
coz found out the 1 on my keypad doesn't work.

sun:
went to nokia care - bad,
coz when my turn was next, the queue display sys broke down, den i think some scummy ppl cut my queue but i also wasn't sure.
gave my fone to repair - bad,
coz no spare parts.
brunch@cedele - good,
coz food is good, service is good.
went to serene centre - bad,
coz i left peter's psp at guerrilla games.

guess dat's my weekend till now...
not too bad, not too good.
but quite alrite... hahaha...

Saw this while reading the Ctrl+Alt+Del comics. it's a great series.
many thanks to peter for recommending.
and thanks to the 2 months out at sea last year, i managed to read from the very first one to the most current one.



this guy, tim buckley, creator of the series n site, is a fantastic artist. wish i can draw like him too...
but i cant. closest thing i can draw these days are system block diagrams.
hahaha.

on another note, this weekend shall hence forth be known as the weekend of super late nites.
only slept like at 5am last nite. coz was gaming :P
fri nite was spent mj-ing till 6am.

must-sleep-early-tonite, tom-gota-wake-up-at-5.15.

Them Ivory Tiles

Played overnight mj after like duno how long w thambie, adel and thambie's frens.
and it was good...

good coz got to play mj n won money.
good also coz got to catch up w tham.

so i will say it was a good evening yesterday.
but of coz b4 all dat could happen, i almost starved to death.
no thanks to ms kuah and her red ds lite purchase.

but yea... so it was mj at 10ish - 6am. not too bad la...
wish can do this more often, but it'll also mean dat i'll burn off the whole sat morning asleep in bed.
so we'll see...we'll see...
