Countdown...

The flare at the platform was out yesterday.
the flare is wad burns off the excess gas dat the platform vents out due to excessive pressure buildup in the extraction process.
anyhoo...what it all means is dat as of yesterday, the platform shutdown works has more or less officially begun.

which i guess i can start my approximate 28 day countdown...
with today being 1 down, 27 to go...

cant wait till the day the client says dat everything's a wrap and i can go back to civilisation.
which will den mean going down to the qantas office to get my ticket changed.
going to melbourne... woohoo!!

i prob have mentioned it b4... i cant even remember and am too lazy to go trackback to check.
so if i've mentioned melb b4, sorry ppl... ;P

as my msn nick says, mythbusters have been my bestest buddies for the last few days.
been watching them for abt 1/2 of my working shift time which amounts to abt 6hrs.
with another 1 hr attributed to having lunch and dinner, mayb lesser, since i eat fairly fast.
hahaha...

the rest of the shift time is spent walking abt, stepping out in the sun to get warm
coz it can get fairly cold up on the bridge...
doesn't help dat i'm sitting right under the aircon as well.

so yea... i've got 4 seasons of mythbusters (thanks again, peter!)
have finished season 1, in the middle of season 2.
as i watch the episodes, i realized dat i've actually managed to diligently follow most of the first 2 seasons coz they all seem v familiar.

i think it's seasons 3 and 4 dat i've missed most episodes on tv.
so this is a good chance for me to catch up.
was also checking out the discovery website to see if they put up their filming locations and schedule...
so fans of the show can follow... coz on a few episodes, a group of fans made appearances on the show, tho v far from the action.
but how cool is dat? watching the guys of ur fav show filming and carrying out the experiments to prove or debunk the myths.

so since i was checking out the discovery website, i went to see if they had nice tees i could get...
i was hoping for one dat said "busted" but they've only got "plausible" :(
guess dat's a good thing as well... since i've already spent some on my tees and hoodie which have arrive, by the way.
and are sitting at peter's house, awaiting my arrival back home.

cant wait till i get off the barge...
as one of the mates who works the same shift as me said "the sound of the helicopter is the sweetest u can hear when u are going home."
i cant wait for dat day to come...
till den... it's lots of movies, games, mythbusters, cartoons and prayer...
hoping and praying i'll get the job at chevron...

more on the job applications another day...
