Yesterday...

Went swimming w jarrod again...
looks like this weekly swimming thingy is going well...
swam like 10 laps... quite siong leh.. but it was alrite...
we're planning to swim abt 12 laps next week.

after dat, went to his house to help him move his furniture in his room...
he wants to re-arrange his room to make it more study-friendly.
had planned to go ikea to look for his stuff after dat... but while waiting, i started playing xbox.
had lent him my set since i wasn't really playing and he was kind of like looking for something to do.

so in the end, din have time to go down to ikea, coz i had to go home and den leave the house again for another career presentation.

boy, dat was the longest one i've ever sat thru... reached there at abt 7pm.
they started at abt 7.15-7.20pm i guess... and when i left at 11pm, the CEO was still talking to the people who had the stamina to stay on !!
but i was very impressed with the CEO's success story...

he started his first business while in NS. enlisted at 18, juz b4 his 19th bday, he made his first million selling floppy disks. amazing la...
by the time he started uni (he was a comp science student), he had a citibank banker managing his money. *gasp*
owns a ferrari and plans to buy one more. he's so sought after that microsoft was so desparate to get him that they're willing to buy over his business and give him MS shares worth twice the value of the business they were buying over. *double gasp*
so now he's starting a franchise model, called Aces@ YourService, think you would have seen the ads in the classifieds everyday...
so you buy the franchise, they train you, give you support by despatching calls to you in addition to your own marketing and soliciting of clients. i think it's a fantastic concept, it's something i would love to do in some aspects, tinkering with the pc, setting up networks, etc, servicing the home-users and SMEs.

but i got no chas reserves to 'tahan' in case business doesn't pick up. so think i'll give it a pass, but gona meet up with the manager next week to see what else they can offer. really hope to get a job with KPMG.
think i wana start being a salaried worker first. build up some cash resources.

den met friggy and jarrod(again!) for supper. caught up with friggy a bit coz haven't been able to speak with him since he got back from his pilgrimage. guess he's now in ORD mood liao... slacking away... hahaha...

oh wells.. gota go now.. got hair to cut. and maybe nails to pamper... hehehe...
i'll think abt it while getting my hair cut...
